Its all stock, never OC'd anything - and about the second part, not sure i never faced this with any other game but guild wars 2 after kicking me, it overall happened to that extent 4 times now. You might want to review your BIOS settings anyway to see if your system is using Intel's automatic overclocking system ("Turbo Boost Technology") and
204. Posted October 2, 2017. Posted this on the bugs section as I was fairly certain the cause wasn't on my end, but now I'm not sure what's going on. Quoting original post for context: "I'm constantly lagging out and disconnecting from Guild Wars 2, and this issue is isolated to Guild Wars; I can alt+tab and run a Speedtest/browse the forums
It seems to be a problem with Amazon servers (at least in Europe). Look at this hop: 13 --- 50/ 50 =100% 0/ 50 = 0% 52.93.16.185 This IP is associated with an Amazon server in Dublin. I have been trying for 2 days now to get a playable connection. I'll try again this weekend and if I'm feeling really generous next weekend.
Its working fine for me until this afternoon the problem came when it logged me out of the game automatically, I contacted my internet service provider, they have already done a test on their server and they told me it seems the U.S, GW2 server is having problems connecting to my country Singapore, not all countries are affected, i dont think the U.S is affected so most of you can still play
I've tried the following with no luck -Verify Integrity through Steam. -Uninstall and Reinstall through steam (Steam actually uninstalled my original GW2 folder and created a new one on second SSD) -Tried to run a Guild Wars 2 Repair (creating a shortcut of GW2-64 and renaming it and adding "-repair" to it in Properties) -Tried another

This happens when the launcher fails to connect to the patch server. If you previously had problems patching and edited the hosts file to fix it, you need to remove that edit. If you didn't, either something is blocking GW2's access to the internet or your DNS is outdated (press WindowsKey+R open: ipconfig /flushdns).

Create a shortcut to the exe and add the argument -provider Steam, launch game with shortcut (doesn't matter whether Steam is running) Add exe to Steam client as non-Steam game, set launch argument to -provider Steam, launch from Steam client.
I installed Windows 11 as replacement of my aging Windows 7 and it runs Guild Wars 2 fine without problems. But the fact that it runs fine for many users is something different than that GW2 support is ready to support it. But over time, they will have to support it as it will be where the majority of they player base will be on. So, for now
I apologize, I didn’t explain this thoroughly enough. You create a shortcut to the guild wars 2 launcher by right clicking the gw2.exe or gw2-64.exe and then clicking “create shortcut”. You can drag this to your desktop for ease of use. Next, right click the SHORTCUT and click properties. You’ll see a box that says “target”.
Aussie here, having random timeouts and issues loading maps. Around 10 mins ago i needed to log in multiple times before i connected to the guild wars 2 servers. My connection has been broken for about the past 30 hours, as of this post failed map loads leading to disconnects are pretty much constant. Anyone else from OCE having connection issues?
Several suggestions. 1. Run disk cleanup. Corrupted data caches can cause disconnects. 2. Delete the gw2 data cache. Same reasoning as 1. It is located in the hidden file AppData, then Local, then Temp and the cache is named gw2cache (with a bunch of numbers and letters) 3.
But about the connection issues: Consider testing if you can get improvements by testing both EU and NA servers. You don't have to pay a transfer fee for the test. Just make a new free account for the other region and test it for a while. If it is better, you can buy a transfer for your main account.
